Visitor Attractions and Activities Make a quick availability check

The towns of Prestwick, Ayr, Kilmarnock and Irvine are all within a 15 minute drive of Troon. Glasgow is a 30 minute direct motorway drive.

The Magnum Leisure Centre in Irvine and The Galleon Leisure Centre in Kilmarnock are large leisure centres offering a wide range of sporting activities including water flumes, swimming pools and   skating. Kilmarnock has in-door gokarting and ten pin bowling. Ayr offers laser quest and ten pin bowling. Ayr was the home town of Robert Burns and has many related historic sites including the famous Brig o' Doon and Burn's Cottage.

Culzean, Kelburn and Dean Castle Country Parks, and Louden Family Theme Park are easily reached by car and each offers a full day out with
lots to see and do. The Isle of Arran is also worth visiting and can be reached by ferry from Ardrossan.

Ayr, Kilmarnock and Irvine have shopping centres and an assortment of designer and high street shops. There are several shopping centres in Glasgow including The Buchanan Centre, St. Enoch Centre and Princess Square. Braehead is a very large shopping complex south of Glasgow accomodating superstores and a large retail park. This is situated beside the A77 which links Troon to Glasgow and is easily found.
